Vietnamese in Paris
Vietnamese food is definitely my very tippy top favorite food of all time!
My love spans from little pho joints to fancy fusion restaurants. But my ideal meal came to life on our return trip to Paris from Provence. We traveled by train back to Paris and by the time we arrived, we were up against the clock to eat dinner in Paris. Luckily French people dine very late.
We had a great recommendation from a local who was also Vietnamese. We hustled off the train, into a cab with our luggage and arrived at Pho Thanh Pho. I knew we didn’t have many days left in Paris so I crossed my fingers and hoped for a memorable meal.
Picture this: a little hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant in Paris serving authentic Vietnamese food and champagne!
I still dream about this night.
Hey, I know I can get an amazing glass of champagne and meal at the Slanted Door in San Fran but I have to drop some dough to do so.
Not at Pho Thanh Pho. Completely reasonable and delicious. Why can’t more hole in the wall restaurants serve yummy sparkling wine?
Another reason to love Paris… There are a million yummy Vietnamese restaurants in Paris and many of them probably serve champagne.
